Superb condition Henry Clay campaign of 1844 button. This is a flat 2 piece beveled border button. It is also a big button. The front has the bust of Clay facing left. With the inscription "HENRY" on the right side,and "CLAY" on the left side, all in a stippled field. This button also has a plated front. The back has the full stand up shank,The backmark is in a depressed channel, in raised letters.. The campaign of 1844 saw fewer buttons in use, but the quality remained high.
