Exceedingly rare, non dug, Georgia, local cuff button. Almost pristine condition little cuff button, made during the war in the south. You see northern made cuffs here and there but hardly ever do you see locals. This is a high convex two piece Militia cuff button showing the state of Georgia coat of arms on a plain field with the three pillers holding up the dome, which would of had the word "constitution", with the suns rays above. The banners would of had on them, "Wisdom", "justice", and "moderation", With the militiaman holding a sword in his left hand, which signifies defense of the constitution. The back has the full stand up shank intact, with the crimping on this one pretty uniform and crisp. This is an outstanding button and glad to have it in my collection now.
