Real nice condition, non excavated infantry button from the 1812 period. Cast brass,One piece convex, with eagle standing on oval wreath, with olive branch in right talon. Has the US in script letters in the oval field. 17 five pointed stars encircling. The back has the raised mark of Giles Richards/ Boston, with eagle. This button was made by him @ 1810- 1813. Also of note this has the 1-piece wedge shank with the drilled eye, still very firmly in place. Real nice button for being over 200 years old.
