Spectacular early navy non dug coat button. Virtually flawless, with 100% gilt finish. you will not see many in this condition. The front showing in bright detail an eagle facing right, a lined spade shaped shield on the left wing. Foul anchor inside shield. Surrounding is 13-6 pointed stars. All on a lined background. One piece button with border. The back has the full stand up shank, with raised backmark , inner and outer rings. Made by William Wallis, who was from Birmingham, England. His marked buttons are believed to have been blank and re-used by U. S. Manufacturers. Super cool button in great condition.
