Here is a cool button, from the mid 1700 period. It is a dug King's Dragoon Guard coat button. Issued around the period of 1768-1790. This is for Officer's serving the King of England. This gilded button, which is 26mm in size, Depicts a crown on top, with 7 surrounding bursts of ray's around. In the center are initial's "K "with "DG" below . Within the garter there is no motto. Some have a motto, this one does not. The back has the original stand up shank, with the back mark of a ring of dot's surrounding. Many prominent rev war officer's including Tarleton served in the King's Dragoon Guard's and volunteered for service in America when war came. This was dug somewhere in the deep south, years ago.
